ACT - Something done, a deed.
BAT - Any of the small, nocturnal, flying mammals of the order Chiroptera, which navigate by means of echolocation. They look like a mouse with membranous wings extending from the forelimbs to the hind limbs or tail. Altogether, there are about 1,000 bat species in the world.
BIT - A piece of metal placed in a horse's mouth and connected to reins to direct the animal.
CAB - A taxi; a taxicab.
CAT - Any similar animal of the family Felidae, which includes lions, tigers, bobcats, etc.
TAB - A small flap or strip of material attached to something, for holding, manipulation, identification, etc.
TAX - Money paid to the government other than for transaction-specific goods and services.
TIC - A local and habitual convulsive motion of certain muscles.
BAIT - Any substance, especially food, used in catching fish, or other animals, by alluring them to a hook, snare, trap, or net.
TAXI - A vehicle that may be hired for single journeys by members of the public, driven by a taxi driver.
TAXA - Plural form of taxon.
TAXICAB - A vehicle that passengers hire to take them between locations of their choice, the fare being calculated with a taximeter; a taxi or cab.
