EAT - To consume (something solid or semi-solid, usually food) by putting it into the mouth and swallowing it.
ICE - Water in frozen (solid) form.
TEA - The dried leaves or buds of the tea plant, Camellia sinensis.
VET - A veterinarian or veterinary surgeon.
VIA - A main road or highway, especially in ancient Rome. (Mainly used in set phrases, below.).
VIE - To rival; to struggle for superiority; to contend; to compete eagerly so as to gain something.
TIC - A local and habitual convulsive motion of certain muscles.
VAT - A large tub, such as is used for making wine or for tanning.
VAC - A vacation.
CAVE - A large, naturally-occurring cavity formed underground, or in the face of a cliff or a hillside.
CITE - To quote; to repeat, as a passage from a book, or the words of another.
VICE - A bad habit.
EVICT - To expel (one or more people) from their property; to force (one or more people) to move out.
ACTIVE - Having the power or quality of acting; causing change; communicating action or motion; acting; — opposed to passive, that receives; as, certain active principles; the powers of the mind.
